St. Mary's Herval
Herval of Santa Maria, a beautiful town in the heart of the mountains and part of the Association of
Municipalities of the Romantic Road, which was colonized by the Germans in mid-1835, derived from the Old Colony and other recent waves, were born in the Hunsrück region of Germany.
Being a very mountainous region, the early immigrants had many difficulties, because everything was native forest, and there were wild animals.
